Oct. 9th, 2010 10:13 pm[Here, have yet another incarnation of the Doctor, peering into the screen. He looks a bit tired, but cheerful. Relaxed. More relaxed than he's been in quite a while, actually.]
So. New place, new people - I suppose I'm meant to introduce myself. That's what people generally do, isn't it?
Right. Hello! I'm the Doctor. A new addition to your crew, you might say. Newest cog in the proverbial machine.... No, hang on, scratch that last bit. Not really a cog sort of bloke, actually. Nothing against cogs, of course; they're all quite useful little things, but I've never exactly been one myself, literally or metaphorically, and I have my doubts that I'm going to start being one any time soon.
Now that all that's out of the way, we can move on to the important things. Such as, oh, where to get a proper cup of tea in this place. And how, precisely, everything works around here. Suppose that one might be slightly more important than the tea, actually. Only slightly.
[He pauses, then leans forward and looks at the screen expectantly.]
Well, go on, then; tell me all about it. I want to know everything.
